Genre and other media formats

When we first started out with our radio drama we wanted the genre to fit 'Teenage Drama'. When comparing it to other radio drama's i had previously looked at the radio drama on radio 4 'The Archers' this being a radio drama with more than one episode therefore being part of a series of which is the same with ours 'Listen'. Also 'The Archers' is a soap opera style drama although not being a teen drama it was still similar to our radio drama therefore fitting a similar catergorie by providing the audience with contemporary drama. 'The Archers' expresses the characters personalities well throughout the radio drama which again we had attempted to do within ours.

When taking into account other available media formats such as Tv, books, magazines...
i decided that our particular radio drama could work extremely well as a series on the TV as there is so much action going on in our radio drama it would be extremely easy to expand into a television programme. I also thinik that added a visual aspect to our piece would work extremely well as it would be nice for the audience to visual experience our characters and also see the action rather than just here it. I also think that our radio drama could be tranformed into a book format. I think this as i could be a very enjoyable dramatic read and by having as a book there could be masses of description again making the piece sound extra dramatic and effective.
